Welcome to Rings of Power Official 1.0 by Drakein!

Extract to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Battle for Middle-earth Files\Maps.

This is a conversion of a map originally designed by Lord_AllOut for WC3. Thanks goes out to the kind people at the3rdage.net, mevault.ign.com, and Drug.Lord for their.

"The rules of this map are simple. Each player takes a specific area in the Lord of the Rings universe. Every 45 seconds, newly spawned units will fight for your team and every 10 minutes, players will receive upgraded units for their team. Every team receives one or more heroes. They are much stronger than normal units.

However, if they die, they are gone forever, so be sure to keep your heroes alive!
The exception to this is the Nazgul: each Nazgul has 3 lives, and the Witch King will keep on respawning until slain by a hero. The objective of the map is to destroy each base of the opposing team. Once a base is destroyed, the enemy can no longer spawn units.

Each side has goals they should complete if they want upgrades or bonuses. For example, once Frodo reaches level 6, you can attempt a ring drop and destroy Mordor and the Nazgul instantly! However, if Frodo fails and the ring falls into the enemies hands, then Sauron may rise again by bringing the ring to Barad dur.

The Rings of Power in this game give different bonus' to its carriers. For example, the Ring of Air, Vilya, gives a bonus to the users attack. Once a hero with a Ring of Power dies, the Rings that they are carrying drop on the ground for someone else to pick up.
Each Ring has a special effect around the hero that is carrying it.

Each side has different strengths: Gondor has higher building HP, Rohan's bases are harder to take Mordor has a higher population cap, Isengard begins at Level 2 Units, and finally
Moria has a faster spawn rate. Look for version 1.1 which will fix balance issues and bugs. Have fun and enjoy the game!
